Reading the folder before the call

Tessa came to elder law after helping her own grandparents through a hospital stay on a weekend, with no papers and no one sure who could sign. She remembers how many calls it took, and she designs the firm’s care plans so a family needs fewer.

Most of her clients are adult children who live across an ocean from a parent. She reads the folder of papers before the first call, sends back a short list of what’s missing, and holds the family meeting by video so everyone can be on it.
